The Autism Family MRI Study

The Stanford Psychiatry Neuroimaging Laboratory is looking for children with Autism, their same gender, nonautistic siblings and their parents to participate in a magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) study. In this study we are looking for differences in brain structure between autistic children and their family members (nonautistic siblings and parents). The participants in this study will receive psychological testing, including IQ and diagnostic testing. Parents will be asked questions about themselves and their children's behavior and development. The children with autism, their siblings and parents will have magnetic images of their brains recorded by an MRI machine. The MRI scanning process will last approximately 30 minutes, broken into 15-minute blocks.

Recruitment for this study is completed.
